Join us on this Nepal trip that combines personal wellness, nature experiences, and immersive cultural activities. You will participate in almost daily yoga or meditation sessions that will inspire your body and mind’s spiritual healing. The excursion will take you to the secluded Purna Yoga Retreat, which allows for complete relaxation. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with nature while trekking through the Himalayas and wandering around the peaceful town of Pokhara.
This experience includes many instances to connect with the local people of Nepal, especially on your trek. You will stay at traditional teahouses in Kande and Dhampus owned and operated by people in the community. You will interact with the Gurung people and learn more about their daily lives. Towards the end of your journey, you will have the truly unique opportunity to stay at Azom Monastery and reflect and pray with the monks who live there.

Day 1
Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival, a representative of Off Season Adventures will greet you and accompany you to your hotel. On the way, they will introduce you to the culture of Nepal and the fantastic experience ahead. After enjoying welcome drinks at the hotel, you’ll have the afternoon to explore Kathmandu on your own. In the evening, participate in Yoga Nidra – known as yogic sleep – this is a meditation and conscious relaxation practice intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. This session is a perfect way to relax your body and mind and overcome the stress of jetlag.

Day 2
Start your day with an early morning standing yoga asanas class at your hotel. It helps in relieving body pain, improving circulation, and muscle development. After breakfast, start your day of sightseeing with Swayambhunath, famously known as the Monkey Temple. Then head towards Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour here starts from the heart of Kathmandu Thamel, then continues on a rickshaw through the spice market of Ason to the entrance of Durbar Square. From here, you will continue on foot, and if you’re lucky enough, you will also get to see the living goddess of Nepal Kumari. This evening join a session at Bouddha Inn-meditation Center. After the program, you’ll have free time to wander around Boudhanath Stupa, reflect and light candles, and visit the Tibetan monks and pilgrims.

Day 3-5
Early this morning, participate in a meditation and sitting yoga asana session. These positions can help you tone your muscles, make your spine flexible, relieve stress and anxiety, and massage the abdomen. After breakfast, take a short but scenic flight to Pokhara to the Purna Yoga Retreat Center. Spend the next few days relaxing and participating in various meditation and yoga activities.

Day 6
Today’s journey will take you to Kande for a short trek to the Australian Camp. This beautiful village is best known for the stunning view of the Himalayan Mountains, including the Annapurna range. After your hike, you’ll head to a traditional teahouse, your accommodation for the next two nights. The teahouses are mostly owned, managed, and inhabited by local families. Trekkers love staying at teahouses as it gives them a rare glimpse into the local people’s culture and daily lives in rural Nepal.

Day 7
After Breakfast, head out on a trek to Dhampus. The local people have erected stone stairs here, making it easy to ascend and descend. The path passes through forests and villages of the Gurung community. The trek provides stunning mountain views and a glimpse into the daily lives of the Gurung villagers.

Day 8
On this day, you’ll descend a steep stone staircase from Dhampus to Phedi. At the end of the trek, your vehicle will be waiting for you to take you back to Pokhara.

Day 9
Today do some sightseeing of Pokhara City including, David falls, the Bindebasisni Temple, a world peace stupa, and boating in Phewa Lake. Pokhara lies on a once vibrant trade route extending between India and Tibet. To this day, mule trains are camped on the town’s outskirts, bringing goods to trade from the Himalayas’ remote regions.

Day 10
Start your day early with a meditation class at your hotel. After breakfast, take a short flight to Kathmandu and then drive to Pharping. You’ll stay at the Azom Monastery, which aims to provide love, care, and education to over 200 student monks who reside there. Upon arrival, the calmness and serenity of the area will overtake you. You will have the opportunity to interact with the monks and participate in their debate sessions in the evening.

Day 11
Early today, join the monks in their morning prayer. After breakfast, take your time to stroll around and take in the serene peacefulness before heading back to the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Upon arrival, the rest of the day is at your leisure for individual activities.
